I came to product design from a traditional design agency background where I specialized in visual identity, motion graphics and video. While working as an agency designer, I slowly became disenchanted with the waterfall process and the stress of design presentations. Months of work could be obliterated in a one-hour meeting…. there had to be a better way. When I learned about agile methodologies, scrum and product design, I was hooked. Getting feedback early and often and iterating on the results made so much sense. I was pleasantly surprised at how transferrable my previous experience was.
I bring an egoless approach to my work and I truly believe that we design and build better experiences together, not individually. Breakthrough ideas can come from anywhere and I love collaborating with stakeholders, other designers, product managers, developers and especially hearing from end users. I strive for inclusive, accessible design that is useful and beautiful.
I’m based in Toronto, but originally hail from Cork, Ireland. I love to travel, make furniture, skateboard and play football (soccer).
